Important Step: Where Is the Porsche Radio Serial Number Located?
To calculate your radio’s password, you’ll need to remove the device from its housing and locate the serial number on the label attached to its body.
How to Recognize the 14-Character Serial Number?
- Found in the Model No. and Serial No. Fields: On the label of Becker radios used in Porsche vehicles, there are two fields: Model-No. (e.g., BE 4467 or BE 2280) and Serial-No. For the lookup, you need to combine these two values into a single 14-character code.
- 14 Characters Long: The full code consists of the BE + 4-digit model number from the Model-No. field, followed directly by the Serial-No. value, forming a total of 14 characters.
- Don’t Enter Only the Serial No.: Entering just the Serial No. field on its own is not enough — you must combine it with the Model-No. (BE XXXX) to get the correct 14-character code.
- Example: If the label shows Model-No.: BE 4467 and Serial-No.: X5009788, you should combine them and enter BE4467X5009788 completely into the lookup field.

As shown in the image below, if your label shows a “Typ: PCM” entry together with a Model-No.: BE 2560, BE 2580, BE 2582-style code, please note the following:
Model numbers in this format (BE 2560, BE 2580, BE 2582 / PCM type) are not supported by our system. Your label may also contain a second field labeled MLFB with a number in the P08000… format; this number is also not compatible with our online lookup tool.
