Hello, Maserati Owners,
Did your Maserati display a “CODE”, “Input Code”, or “WAIT” message after a battery replacement or after removing the head unit? This means your multimedia system has entered its anti-theft security mode. To reactivate it, you will need your lost 4- or 5-digit radio code.
In this guide, we will walk you through how to retrieve the radio code for every head unit found in Maserati vehicles, including Harman Kardon, Alpine, Panasonic, Blaupunkt, and Becker.
Once you have located your serial number, use our Online Radio Code Finder below to retrieve your code instantly.
Important Step: How to Find Your Head Unit Serial Number
To generate your radio code, we need the unique serial number printed on the label attached to your head unit’s casing.
Method 1: Via the Screen (Some Models)
- On some older Maserati head units, holding down the preset buttons with the ignition on may display the serial number on screen. However, this does not work on every model.
Method 2: Remove the Head Unit (Guaranteed)
- The most reliable method is to physically remove the head unit from its housing. In Maserati vehicles, the multimedia system is typically located behind or beneath the centre console. Once the console trim is removed, you can access the main radio unit.
- After pulling the unit out, you will find the serial number on the label on the metal casing. On Harman units look for the “S/N” field; on Panasonic units, combine the “SUPPLIER CODE” and “SERIAL NUMBER” fields.
⚠️ Important Warning: Use the Correct Label!
On certain Maserati models (especially Panasonic/Uconnect systems), there are two labels inside the console — one on the LCD/touchscreen panel and one on the main radio unit behind or beneath it. The radio code is calculated only from the label on the main radio unit’s casing. The LCD panel label is unrelated and will produce an incorrect code.Once you have noted your serial number, use our online tool below to get your code.
All Supported Maserati Head Unit Models
Our online lookup tool below supports all manufacturers and serial number formats listed here:
Harman Kardon | Alpine | Panasonic | Blaupunkt | Becker
1. Maserati Harman Series (T00BE… or 5-Digit S/N)
These are the Harman Kardon Uconnect systems found in Maserati Ghibli, Quattroporte, and Levante models. Two serial number formats are supported:
- T00BE / TOOBE prefix format: 14 or 15 characters long, starting with T00BE or TOOBE.
Example: T00BE231690027 - 5-Digit Numeric Format: A 5-digit numeric S/N printed in the “S/N” field on the unit’s label. Enter this number directly.
Example: 90764 & 90191

2. Maserati Alpine Series (TC, TD, TH, TZ, TT, TQ, TB, RB prefix)
These Alpine-manufactured units were used across various Maserati models. They are split into two sub-groups based on the first two characters of the serial number:
- 5-Preset Alpine Format: Starts with TC, TD, TH, TZ, TT, or TQ — 14 or 15 characters long.
Example: TQ1AA123456789 - 6-Preset Alpine Format: Starts with TB or RB — 14 characters long.
Example: TB1AA12345678
Important Note: Our system automatically detects whether your radio has 5 or 6 presets from the serial number prefix and generates the correct code accordingly.
3. Maserati Panasonic Series (0D591… prefix)
These Panasonic Automotive units were used in Maserati’s touchscreen Uconnect systems. The serial number is formed by combining two fields from the label on the main radio unit’s casing:
- Format: SUPPLIER CODE (5 characters) + SERIAL NUMBER (5 characters) = 10 characters total
- Example Serial No: 0D59100276 (Supplier Code: 0D591 + Serial Number: 00276)
⚠️ Critical Warning: When removing the console, make sure to take out the main radio unit located behind or beneath the screen — not just the LCD panel itself. The serial number on the LCD panel label is invalid for this purpose. The correct label is on the metal casing of the radio unit and contains the “SUPPLIER CODE” and “SERIAL NUMBER” fields.

4. Maserati Blaupunkt Series (BP… prefix)
These Blaupunkt-manufactured units were used in older Maserati models. Two label formats are supported:
- Standard BP Format: Starts with BP and is exactly 14 characters long.
Example: BP907271917089 - 815/881 Prefix Format: Some labels show the serial number with a 815 or 881 prefix, followed by BP or CM (17 characters total). Our system automatically strips this prefix to extract the correct serial number.
Example: 815BP907271917089

5. Maserati Becker Series (BE7801… prefix)
These Harman/Becker units were used in classic older Maserati vehicles. The serial number starts with ‘BE’ and is 14 characters long.
- Supported Model: Only serial numbers beginning with BE7801 are supported.
Example: BE7801XXXXXXXX (X: actual digits/letters)
Note: Only the BE7801 model code is supported. If your serial number begins with a different BE code, please contact us via Telegram or WhatsApp for assistance.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) — Maserati Radio Code
- After 30 minutes to 2 hours, the screen will return to normal and display “CODE” or “—-“.
- At that point, carefully enter the correct code. Make sure you have identified your serial number accurately before attempting again.
- Wrong label: If you used the LCD panel label, locate the main radio unit and read its label instead.
- Panasonic format error: Make sure you are combining the “SUPPLIER CODE” and “SERIAL NUMBER” fields into a single 10-character string (e.g. 0D591 + 00276 = 0D59100276).
- Character confusion: The digit “0” (zero) and the letter “O”, or the digit “1” and the letter “I”, are easy to mix up. Take a clear photo of the label and double-check each character.
- Previously replaced head unit: If the vehicle is second-hand, the original head unit may have been swapped. The serial number on the physical casing of the current unit is always the one to use.
