How to Find the Radio Serial Number?
Method 1: 2001 and Newer Models (Via Screen)
If you use a Honda newer than 2001, you can usually see the serial number without removing the unit:
- Step 1: Turn the ignition key to the ON position.
- Step 2: Turn on the radio and see the “CODE” message. (If not visible, remove and reinsert the radio fuse for 1 min and return to step 1).
- Step 3: Turn off the device.
- Step 4: Press and hold buttons 1 and 6 while turning the device on.
- Step 5: The screen will alternate between U (e.g., U2200) showing the first 4 digits and L (e.g., L0055) showing the last 4 digits.
- Step 6: Note the 8 digits, excluding U and L letters. Example: U2200 L0055 → Send as 22000055.
💡 Alternative Format: On some units, the serial number may appear at once, such as 40047239 or AHH27001589.
Method 2: Honda Accord (2003 – 2007 Special Method)
- Step 1: Turn the ignition key to the ACC (I) position.
- Step 2: Turn on the radio and see the “CODE” message.
- Step 3: Turn off the device.
- Step 4: Press and hold the upper halves of SEEK/SKIP and CH/DISC buttons, then press and release the PWR/VOL button.
- Step 5: The screen will alternate between U (first 4 digits) and L (last 4 digits).
- Step 6: Note the 8 digits and send them to us.
Method 3: Pre-2001 or Non-Working Display Models (Label)
If your vehicle is older than 2001 or the screen does not show the serial number, you need to remove the unit:
- Find the section labeled “Serial No” on the sticker on the side or top of the device.
- E.g.: Note numbers like HLB22033893B, GGZ22019674, 30009030, BP5022S0692058 exactly.
- Take a photo of all information on the label and send it to us.
Method 4: Navigation (Navicode) Serial Number
The serial number of your navigation unit is in a different location:
- The number is located on the navigation unit in the trunk or on the label on the control panel where the DVD is located.
- It is usually 8 digits (E.g.: 12345678), sometimes starting with 3 letters (E.g.: ABC12345678).
