Commonly found in Kia Sportage, Ceed, and newer Rio models. The serial number on the label starts with **2 Letters** followed by **8 Digits** (10 characters total).

Common starting letters:

MP (e.g.: MP12345678)
MT (e.g.: MT28551122)
Starts with BQ or MC.

In Kia radios, after entering the code, you usually need to press a key to confirm (e.g., “OK”, “Enter”, or press the Volume knob). If the code is correct but it doesn’t unlock, try pressing and holding the confirmation button for a few seconds.

Question: It says “Wait” or “Blocked” on the screen.

The radio has temporarily locked itself due to incorrect password attempts. You must leave the radio and ignition ON (without the screen turning off) and wait for 1 hour. When the time is up, the “Code” screen will return.
