Has your radio locked up after a battery change in your Hyundai (Accent Blue, i20, i30, Tucson, Elantra, Getz, or Starex)? If you see “Code”, “Enter Code”, or “Security Code” on the screen, it means your radio’s anti-theft system has been activated. To continue enjoying your music, you need to enter the specific code produced for your radio.

In this guide, we will explain how to find unlock codes for **Mobis (EMP3)** and **Becker** series radios used in Hyundai vehicles.

Once you have your serial number, you can get your code in seconds using our Online Hyundai Radio Code Finder Service at the bottom of the page.

Important Step: Where is the Hyundai Radio Serial Number?

To calculate your Hyundai radio code, we need the serial number written on the label on the back of the device.

You Will Need to Remove the Radio

  • In Hyundai models, the serial number usually cannot be seen by pressing screen buttons.
  • You need to carefully remove the plastic trim around the radio, unscrew the 4 screws holding the device, and pull the radio towards you.
  • Note down the serial number from the white label on the top or side of the radio, as shown in the examples below.

After obtaining your serial number, you can get your code using our online tool below.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) About Hyundai Radio Code

Question: I entered the code but the radio didn’t open, why?
In Hyundai radios, after entering the code, you usually need to press a button to confirm (e.g., “6”, “OK”, or “Enter” button). If the code is correct but it doesn’t open, try pressing and holding the confirmation button.
Question: It says “Code Error” or “Wait 1 Hour”.
If you enter the wrong password too many times, the radio temporarily locks itself. If you get the “Wait 1 Hour” warning, you must leave the ignition and radio ON (without the screen turning off) for exactly 1 hour. At the end of the time, the password screen will appear again.
Question: Which models are definitely supported?
Our system solves 99% of MP, MT, MC, TQ, BQ series radios used in i10, i20, i30, ix35, Tucson, Accent Blue, Elantra, Getz, and Starex models. For Becker series, only specific models (7918 etc.) are supported.
